Petition For Justice

Many Sikh political prisoners are still languishing in Indian jails despite having served their sentences. Sikhs campaigners and ordinary citizens had been arrested, tortured, controversially convicted and sentenced to life in prison under draconian laws like TADA, during the troubled period in Punjab where the state police openly and regularly conducted mass human rights violations.

Australian Sikh Association is calling on the United Nations and the OHCHR(Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights), Amnesty International and Australian Government to intervene and investigate India's continued breach human rights with illegal and ongoing detention of Sikh prisoners.
